Marlene Tsuchii is a Music Agent at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Based out of the Los Angeles office, Tsuchii works with many of today’s top artists, such as Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Maggie Rogers, H.E.R., RÜFÜS DU SOL, Daft Punk, Beck, Foo Fighters, Britney Spears, Phoenix, Gorillaz, Tool, At The Drive In, and Rise Against, among many others. She also serves as Co-Head of International Touring, contributing to CAA’s success in remaining a leader in the space – helping artists and others in the industry navigate the challenging times, especially in a year like no other. This has included helping artists find creative and commercial ways to remain active, from virtual shows and endorsement deals, to books and podcasts.
Tsuchii is passionate about using her work to further the influence, reach, and impact of Asian artists throughout the industry. Over the past year, she focused many of her efforts on signing clients that bolster CAA’s roster of talent, and support the agency’s goal of amplifying Asian voices across various facets of the industry. Tsuchii signed major music company 88rising; one of the largest K-Pop companies in the world SM Entertainment, which houses major artists including SuperM, NCT 127, and aespa; and rising all-girl punk rock band The Linda Lindas.
Tsuchii has worked with well-known Grammy Award-winning R&B singer/songwriter H.E.R. from early on in her career. She recently headlined the first-ever virtual Honda Civic tour in April 2021. She is also curating the Lights On Festival in Concord, CA in September 2021. She is currently set to play two nights at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel in August. Tsuchii has also lead the charge in coordinating, routing, and negotiating Justin Bieber’s highly-anticipated Justice World Tour, which will kick off in 2022.
Tsuchii began her career at Triad Artists. She joined CAA in January 2002 from The William Morris Agency. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in music performance.
